Over there Bob-o-dooki….

At some point during the holiday season we acquired a candy cane. Innocent enough right? Except, EJ saw the candy cane and then saw me put the candy cane on top of the refrigerator. She didn’t mention it all the time, but every so often she would point to the fridge and say “candy cane?” or if she was feeling feisty “candy cane! candy cane! candy cane!”.

Fast forward to two weeks ago: LP was gone with Harper and EJ and I were hanging out at home. I was trying to get some things done and EJ was bouncing all over the place, not in a bad mood, but definitely moving from happy to a handful in a hurry. That’s when she got on the candycane kick. “Candy cane Daddy?! candy cane. My candy cane?..” etc, etc, etc. Having really nothing else to do, I figured “what the heck”.

I grabbed a chair, slapped a bib on her, and unwrapped it. Pulling the plastic down but leaving it on, in typical candy cane eating fashion. As one would suspect, EJ thought it was marvelous! As did Bobby.

A few bits of knowledge are required on your part in order to understand this video:
1.) EJ calls food (the general term) numanees (pronounced: numb-a-knees)
2.) We sometimes call Bobby “Bob-a-dooski” (I have no idea why)
3.) EJ calls Bobby “Bob-o-dooki” (notice the absense of the “s”)

For those of you that couldn’t make out what EJ is saying here is the transcript:
Bobby: “sniff, sniff, sniff, lick”
EJ (pointing to Bobby’s food bowl): “your numanee over there bob-o-dooki”
Bobby (pretending not to understand): “lick, lick, lick, sniff, lick”
EJ: “Lick, Lick, Crunch”
EJ (not quietly): “YOUR NUMANEE OVER THERE BOB-O-DOOKI!”
Bobby: “I don’t want my numanee, I’m leaving now”
